Dr Aryan Patra is Co-Director at the Liverpool Hair Transplant Centre (LHTC). A GMC-registered medical doctor, he combines a strong foundation in surgical medicine with hands-on training in hair restoration, and leads the clinic’s clinical operations, patient experience and technological development.
At LHTC, Dr Patra personally oversees the patient journey from the moment a patient walks through the clinic’s doors to the completion of their aftercare, working in joint care with the clinic’s founder, Dr Jyotsna Kumari. His focus is on ensuring that every patient receives honest advice, a clear diagnosis and a personalised treatment plan — delivered with the continuity of care that only a doctor-led clinic can provide.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Patra is responsible for modernising the clinic’s systems. He is integrating artificial intelligence across the practice — from patient booking to the automation of labour-intensive processes — with the aim of making the patient experience faster, smoother and more personal. He consults in both English and Hindi.
Qualifications & Medical Training
Dr Patra graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Queen Mary University of London in 2024. He completed his Foundation Training (FY1 and FY2) in Birmingham, where he worked across the Emergency Department, General Surgery, and Trauma & Orthopaedics, serving as a Senior House Officer.
He is currently undertaking a Master of Science (MSc) at University College London (UCL) in Burns, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, with training that extends to robotic reconstructive surgery — placing him at the forefront of modern surgical and regenerative techniques relevant to hair restoration.

Dr Patra has been trained on-site at the Liverpool Hair Transplant Centre, working directly alongside Dr Jyotsna Kumari, the clinic’s founder and lead hair transplant surgeon. His clinical practice at the clinic includes:

From the initial enquiry and first consultation through to surgery, recovery and aftercare, he ensures that each patient is assessed thoroughly, informed honestly and supported at every stage. Care at the clinic is delivered jointly between Dr Patra and Dr Kumari, so patients benefit from both experienced surgical expertise and close, continuous clinical oversight.
Technology & Innovation
Dr Patra leads the clinic’s adoption of artificial intelligence and modern digital systems. Under his direction, LHTC is applying AI across its operations — including its patient booking flow and its clinical and administrative workflows — and is actively developing AI tools to automate processes that have traditionally been slow and labour-intensive.
The goal of this work is simple: to remove friction from the patient experience and free the clinical team to spend more time where it matters most — with patients. It is this combination of medical training and technological capability that defines Dr Patra’s contribution to the clinic’s future.
Clinical Philosophy
Dr Patra believes that hair loss is never a purely cosmetic issue. He has seen how profoundly it affects young men and women — damaging confidence and mental health to the point where many no longer want to be seen in public. His conviction is that, with the technology now available, nobody should have to go through that trauma.
That belief shapes how he practises: honest assessment, realistic expectations, and treatment recommended only when it is clinically appropriate and likely to deliver meaningful, long-term benefit.
Leadership
As Co-Director, Dr Patra shares responsibility for the clinical standards, operations and continued development of the Liverpool Hair Transplant Centre. His dual role — clinician within the practice and architect of its modernisation — ensures that LHTC continues to combine the safety and ethics of doctor-led care with the efficiency and accessibility of a modern, technology-enabled clinic.
