Dr Jyotsna Kumari is the Founder, Medical Director and Lead Hair Transplant Surgeon at The Skin & Hair Clinic, Liverpool. A GMC-registered doctor with Full Registration and a Licence to Practise, she brings more than 20 years of medical experience and is recognised for her expertise in hair restoration surgery, clinical dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
Since establishing The Skin & Hair Clinic in 2011, Dr Kumari has dedicated her career to helping men and women affected by hair loss regain not only their hair but also their confidence. She combines medical knowledge, meticulous surgical technique and an artistic understanding of facial aesthetics to deliver natural-looking, long-lasting hair restoration results.
Over the course of her career, Dr Kumari has performed more than 4,000 hair restoration procedures, treating patients from across the United Kingdom and overseas. Qualifications & Medical Training
Dr Kumari graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) before undertaking postgraduate training in Clinical Dermatology at King’s College London. She subsequently completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Dermatology Skills and Treatment at the University of Hertfordshire, enhancing her expertise in dermatology, hair disorders and evidence-based clinical practice.
Earlier in her medical career, she worked within the NHS at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, where she gained valuable experience in patient assessment, diagnosis, clinical governance and safe medical practice.

She also completed advanced training at the internationally recognised FUE-Palooza Technology Workshop in the United States, hosted by Dr James A. Harris, one of the pioneers of modern FUE surgery.
In 2017, she attended the 25th World Congress of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) in Prague, where leading hair restoration surgeons from around the world shared the latest advances in surgical techniques and research.
