Dermal fillers are mainly used to treat nasolabial and marionette lines between the nose and mouth, and mouth and chin, but can also be used as an effective technique for lip augmentation. They’re also used to reduce the appearance of dry, sun damaged and ageing skin, making it look fresher, younger and revitalised.

Dermal rolling is a natural process of skin rejuvenation and skin healing, which stimulates the natural production of collagen in the skin. As skin ages, it loses the ability to produce elastin and collagen, which helps the skin look young and fresh, as effectively. Ageing skin doesn’t hold moisture as well as younger skin, and as a result can start to sag and wrinkle. A dermal roller is a collagen induction therapy, which uses micro-needling to puncture the dermis (skin’s outer later), with tiny, precise needles mounted on a roller. Opening the skin’s pores temporarily is treated as damage by the body, which works to regenerate it, triggering the production of collagen and elastin. Alongside rejuvenating ageing skin, dermal rollers can also be used to treat acne scars, uneven skin tone, post pregnancy stretch marks, skin pigmentation and sun spots.

Prominent eye bags can be reduced in appearance through mesotherapy, which helps break down the fatty cells in the middle layer of the skin – the mesoderm – helping the body flush toxins out naturally. The therapy – which involves a series of injections with a small needle, rejuvenates the skin and boosts cellular hydration, brightening, smoothing and firming the skin.

A chemical peel can revitalise your skin by getting rid of the layer of dead cells on the surface to reveal the new, fresh skin underneath, reducing the effects of sun damage, acne, pollutants and scarring, which build up on our skin over time.

Alongside rejuvenating your skin, this non-invasive treatment can be used to reduce mild scarring, pigmentation, fine lines and certain types of acne. There are several different types of chemical peel, and our team of experts will advise you about the type of chemical peel best suited to your skin type.

It has become a popular treatment to reduce the appearance of fine line and wrinkles since it was first introduced over ten years ago now. It involves injecting minute doses of the toxin Botulinum Type A into facial muscles to relax them, and prevent them forming thin lines and wrinkles caused by the muscle’s contraction, to give a fresh and youthful appearance. Anti-Wrinkle injections can also be used for other conditions, including excessive sweating and migraines, as it reduces the function of the sweat glands for up to eight months.

You’ll see the optimum impact of it after ten to 14 days, and the effects can last for up to six months. The Skin + Hair Clinic offers a painless, effective and safe procedure, carried out by an experienced dermatologist.

Before you come in for any treatment we’ll give you guidelines about what you need to do before your appointment, and we’ll give you detailed aftercare information before you leave the clinic, as it can vary from treatment to treatment. With any facial treatment we recommend that you plan your treatment for a week before the event or occasion you’re planning it for, to give your skin time to settle and to see the best results. With all facial rejuvenation treatments we suggest you apply SPF 50+ sun cream after your treatment, to protect the new, fresh skin from the affects of the sun.
